How come, in a grocery store, a sale of $3.99 for a box of 16 pop-tarts seems like a purchase that needs to be considered and mulled over to assess it's prudence but grabbing a snack at Sev that totals $7 for chips and pop doesn't?

Probably because I won't be eating those Pop Tarts in the next hour... If I needed Pop Tarts as soon as I needed chips there isn't a price I wouldn't pay.

I happily pay any money for my junk food of choice when I'm desperate enough. The worst part is realizing that you're waaaaaay overspending and still doing it. Ohhhh the power of sugars and fats.
