good ol' day of fun

Yesterday during our Day of Fun, Pam asked me if I were to buy a house would I let the name of the street influence whether or not I would buy it. I said that if I liked the house I wouldn't really care what the name of the street was. After some reflection I said, "But I wouldn't live on a street called Adolph Hitler Road."

Maybe it wouldn't influence it completely for me but I have to say when I'm just looking at tiny photos on the internet and a street address I do find myself more interested in ones on Charing Cross or Oak Street or Morningside Drive than those on Weedon Street or Gagnon Street.

Comments on MY comment (because I'm just that narcissistic): (1)That was an insanely run-on sentence. (2) Oh dear, now you'll be able to follow us from street to street this weekend. ;-)

Mwa ha ha... it worked! It was all a ploy to get you to reveal the streetnames of the houses you'd be looking at! I'll be the one with the big floppy hat and camera with the telephoto lens.

Pam will the the one chatting up the american cyclists.

Personally, I would have a hard time living on Vulva Lane.

Not JUST Jim, Jimfromseattle. It's all part of his name.

Maybe *you* wouldn't want to live on Vulva Lane but...

If I really liked 2 houses and couldn't choose between them, I would take the street name into consideration. I would like to live on a street with a fun name to say....like Woodydell, instead of a boring name like 6 st.
